The Chronicles of Klanksta

Well some friends and I got together and we ran the heroic and normal dailies. Both happened to be The Botanica so we could run one instance to finish two dailies. That’s Hawt!!! So we are runnin and sudddenly our healer has to bail due to a family emergency. So we replaces our pally healer with a druid healer, no biggie. Anyways, We started out with this stupid non guild lok. Well turns out we had to boot this moron right after we killed the first boss cause they was jus standin there doin nuthins. We brings in a guild rogue, happens to be one of the top 15 rogues on the server. After that we start rapin the place, we get through the instance kill Warp Splinter, finish the quests and Klanksta gets a MAJOR UPGRADE. This made the Klaksta extremely giddy. A few more badge items and I think I will be ready to begin tanking heroics. Thanks to all my guildees who passed on this item to allow me to have it. Also from the same run I was able to get the Primal Nether and from that was able to make my Deathblow X11 Goggles.  So all in all a good day.  I am currently still working on getting Earthwarden for my tanking set and the glyph from CoT for my goggles.  Once I have those along with the badge items I will be ready to start trying my hand at tanking heroics.

I have been quiet the last couple of days because……I BEEN TANKIN!!!!

Klank hit 70, Got keyed for Kara and last night I ran my first Kara as offtank.  Got me a few EPIX, and have been just basically havin a grand ole time.  Currently Klank has about 13k unbuffed hp, and 17k unbuffed armor with about 29% dodge.

This afternoon was a bit discouraging tho.  I tried to tank a Heroic Mech only to find out I had forgotten I did not have the faction for the heroic key yet, so my group sed ok we do normal then (it was a guild group, thanks yous to mah guildees).  Well to the mage Gehenne I can only say I am so sorry, or L2watchDmgMetersplzthx.  I think I am over geared for normals and undergeared for Heroics at this point.  I was seriously rage starved in that Mech and because of it I was not able to hold aggro off the mage at all.  He was dieing a lot.  Not sure if it was me or him but damn his reair bills was gonna sux.  So I gonna be runnin some heroics as dps until I can get my badge epics to begin tanking heroics with.

On another note I do not get into the frenzy of finding out every little bit of the new patch while it’s on the PTR but I do read the blogs and certain little key things catch my eye like the following:

From Random Ravings of Warcraft:

Non-corporeal Undead and Mechanical creatures are now susceptible to bleed effects.

What this means to Durids:

• Our bleeds should be able to stick anywhere a rogue bleed can so this means a couple of different things
• Visual indicators to the raid when you have gotten bleeds on your assigned target in Kara.
• More Damage

From Banana Shoulders:

the per-day limit for repeatable daily quests is being raised to 25

• More Money making potential

Paladins

• Retribution Aura has been replaced by Fuckit Aura. Players affected by this aura will cease caring about threat and begin to AoE before the paladin establishes solid aggro.
• Improved Improved Blessing Of Wisdom: It will make you smart. Hunters and rogues are not affected by this blessing.

Maybe I am just getting old but when I log in to play for a bit (like today before work) I don’t log in to watch a bunch of kids call each others fag’s in guildchat and talk about their same sex sexual exploits with each other.

To me the word faggot above all others is a totally despicable word that should never be uttered by anyone for any reason.  I am not gay, in any way but I have many friends who are and I absolutely HATE this one particular word.

There was an article on WoW Insider yesterday ( I can’t link it right now because I am at work ) that discussed the possibility of an adult only server.  Yes i know this would not solve all the childish issues that occur but I for one think that it would tone them down some.  This is not to say that I am against having fun in chat.  By no means, but when it comes to insulting others I feel there is no reason for it.

Well as the title says, “The Drums of War are Beating…”

There is about to be a war between the Blizz designers and the players at large.  Specifically the level 70 players that do daily quests in skettis.

Below is probably the single most important change in the new patch notes and I can hear people screaming about this already:

• Monstrous Kaliri have learned how to chase players going straight up.

This causes my non druids characters no end of pain.  My Hunter and Warlock both have normal mount speed, and my rogue has epic.  It is honestly easier to get away from those damn birds on  my normal mount than it is on my epic.  I beleive the mobs timeout if you do not attack them within a certain period of time or something like that to determine whether you drop out of combat or not.  On my rogue with his epic mount I run out of room before hitting the hard celiling and have to fly back straight down for a bit before the damn birds evade.  With my other toons I simply stop forward motion and fly straight up and I can get away from them no problem.  No more says Blizz.  The are determined to have MANY corpses strewn about the lake in skettis.

This is very bad for those like myself on a pvp server where skettis is in a constant state of Flux between The Glorious Horde and the alliance scum.  We use out mounts in skettis to keep ourselves out of the throes of full on knuckle to kjnuckle pvp and able to sit there and taunt each other.  No More says Blizz.  You will kill each other or we shall kill you…So says Blizz

Yay!!!! I can Fly!!!!  Yes Klanksta got his Flight Form this morning after I got off work and before I went to bed.  I did some dailies on a couple of 70’s and was able to amass enough monies to get his flight form, and not much else.  I have about 13 gold on the entire server now, and it is not a particularly good feeling.I will definetly need to be doing some dailies each day to get my gold back out of the emergency reserves level.  I should prolly log in my buddies warlock as well and send all the DE items back to myself so I can de them and sell the mats on the ah as well.

The #1 goal now is to get 70 before I begin my trek moving to Las Vegas.  I have about 20 days so it should not really be a problem as long as I put in a few power gaming sessions and bust through the quests in Blade’s edge and probably SMV.  I would expect to Ding 70 in SMV.
